1) Desperate Dan VS Dennis The Menace
So I do this strip called Arena Of Awesome, where every week the universe’s finest warriors battle it out between each other. I was cautious asking The Dandy if I could pit Dan against The Beano’s iconic antihero Dennis but to my surprise they were all for it, so this week you can see the results in a comics FIRST (probably not, but it’s still quite exciting).
2) The OODLES and OODLES of comic greats in the rest of the comic. Seriously, The Dandy is going from strength to strength and some of the comics in there are really exceptional. Unfair to name a few and leave out the rest, but lets just say some of the UKs best cartoonists are joining the ranks.
3) Speaking of which, the ridiculously talented Etherington Bros debut their new strip in this week’s Dandy, and I’m so glad to see them there.
I mean look at it. LOOK AT IT.
4) one of my fave Desperate Dan strips. it’s about hats.
5) oh, and a sneak preview of my next new strip, starting next week. I’ll blog about it then. It’s proper fun.
6) if you DON’T, you’re a BABOON, DOING EGGY PUMPS. In your HANDS. FACT.

Arena of Awesome was great! I loved how just when Dennis looked like he was about to win, he lost! Next up, Minnie the Minx VS Beryl the Peril! ;) Blinky VS Erbert from the Bash Street Kids, Roger the Dodger VS Winker Watson, The Bash Street Kids VS Mr Meecher’s class! Meebo and George VS Zuky and Dragon! LOL :D
The list is endless!
Sadly no Pre-Skool Prime Minister, hopefully he’s back next issue, it’s one of the best comic strips ever!
